MyHousehold ("the App") is developed and operated by MARTINSIQ We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle your information.

📋 Information We Collect

When you use MyHousehold, we may collect the following information:

• Account Information — Username, display name, and email address (if provided via Apple or Google Sign-In).
• Household Data — Household name, member names, avatar selections, and roles you create within the app.
• Game Data — Game sessions, scores, match history, ELO ratings, and leaderboard rankings.
• Grocery Data — Shopping lists, items, quantities, and completion status.
• Chore Data — Chore assignments, schedules, and completion tracking.
• Calendar Data — Events, dates, and shared household schedules.
• Meal Planning Data — Meal plans, recipes, and dietary preferences.
• Expense Data — Expense records, amounts, categories, and who paid.
• Inventory Data — Home item names, locations, and tracking information.
• Vacation Data — Travel plans, destinations, and itineraries.
• AI Interaction Data — Queries and suggestions generated by the AI Assistant feature.
• Device Information — Device type, operating system version, and app version (for compatibility and debugging).

🔐 Authentication & Third-Party Sign-In

We offer Sign in with Apple and Sign in with Google as authentication options. When you use these services:

• We receive only your name, email (if you choose to share it), and a unique identifier from the provider.
• We do not receive or store your Apple or Google account password.
• We do not access your contacts, photos, or other personal data from these services.

🛡️ How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to:

• Create and manage your household account and member profiles.
• Sync household data across all your devices (iOS, Apple Watch, Home Screen widget, Samsung TV, web dashboard).
• Enable multiplayer gameplay, matchmaking, and real-time game sessions.
• Display leaderboards, game statistics, and ELO rankings.
• Manage shared grocery lists, chore assignments, calendar events, meal plans, expenses, inventory, and vacation plans.
• Power the AI Assistant with contextual household suggestions.
• Provide Home Screen widget updates and Apple Watch companion data.
• Generate QR invite codes for household member onboarding.
• Maintain the security and performance of our services.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or marketing purposes.

🚫 Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. Your data may only be shared in the following limited circumstances:

• Within your household — All household members can see shared data (grocery lists, chores, calendar, expenses, meal plans, inventory, vacation plans, and game stats).
• With other players — Your household name, avatar, and game stats are visible to opponents in matches and on leaderboards.
• Legal requirements — If required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
• Service providers — We use MongoDB Atlas for data storage and Railway for hosting, both of which maintain industry-standard security practices.

💾 Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest. We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information.

Authentication tokens are signed with industry-standard JSON Web Tokens (JWT) and expire after 90 days.

🗑️ Data Retention & Deletion

You can delete your household account at any time through the app's Settings. When you delete your account:

• Your household data, members, and game history are permanently removed.
• Your leaderboard entries are cleared.
• This action is irreversible.

� Device Permissions & Extensions

MyHousehold may request the following device permissions:

• Camera — Used solely to scan QR invite codes. No photos are stored or transmitted.
• Local Network — Used to connect to your household server over Wi-Fi for real-time data sync.
• App Groups — Used to share data locally between the main app, Home Screen widget, and Apple Watch companion on your device only. This data never leaves your device.

⌚ Apple Watch & Widget

The Apple Watch companion app and Home Screen widget display summary data from your household (chores due, grocery count, upcoming events, game stats). This data is synced locally via App Groups and refreshes periodically. No additional personal data is collected through these extensions.

🤖 AI Assistant

The AI Assistant feature provides contextual suggestions based on your household data (e.g., chore reminders, meal ideas, expense insights). AI processing occurs on our servers. We do not use your household data to train AI models or share it with third-party AI providers.

�👶 Children's Privacy

MyHousehold is designed as a family-friendly experience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. The app is intended to be used by households where a parent or guardian manages the account.

📝 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
